Friendly reminder that this Wednesday and Thursday, we will be on a Half Day Schedule for parent teacher conferences. This means our students will be dismissed at 11:35am on both days! 😄 ⏰ 🏫

Desert Willow's August Calendar

Friendly reminder that our beginning of the year iReady Diagnostic Testing for students begins next Thursday, July 31st and runs through the end of the following week! This diagnostic test is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills to kick off the school year. We believe in our students! 😄

Our committed KUSD staff and administration are actively working during the summer break to create even more engaging and interactive learning experiences for our students! 🍎📝 While our students enjoy their summer vacation, some of our staff members are diligently preparing for the upcoming school year by participating in Mindset Training!

🎉 Last week was all about celebrating our amazing Special Education team during SPED Staff Appreciation Week! 🎉 We rolled out the red carpet for our incredible staff from ALL schools within our district with delicious treats, fun raffles, and some fabulous gifts. 📣A special shout out to Anderson Auto Group and Andrea Foote for their generous donation that helped make this celebration possible! 💝✨ To our special education warriors: your hard work and unwavering dedication to our exceptional students don't go unnoticed! We’re so grateful for all that you do. THANK YOU! 🙌❤️

Desert Willow's May Calendar

Mark your calendars and join us on Tuesday, May 13th as we hold our 4th quarter student award ceremony! Students who will be receiving an award will come home with an invitation from their teacher next week. Grade level award times are listed on the attached flyer below 👇🏽 🏆 🏅

Teacher Appreciation Week begins today! We absolutely love our Desert Willow staff & teachers and cannot wait to celebrate them next week! 🎉🏫🥳

Thanks to the efforts of our amazing librarian, Mrs. Lily, Desert Willow has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Barbara Park Memorial Literacy Grant! We used the awarded funds to stock our library with new and exciting fiction and non-fiction books! 📚 📖 📕 Together we can! ❤️ thank you Mrs. Lily and GBS books!

Join us this Thursday for Desert Willow’s Picnic on the Playground! From 10:30am-12:00pm parents and families are welcome on campus to bring and enjoy a picnic lunch outside on the grassy field with your Diamondback student! 🧺 🛝
